- Choose an Auxiliary near your home or work that will be
convenient for you to attend Auxiliary meetings. Depending on the site,
meetings are held either once or twice a month. Some are during the day but
most sites hold evening meetings
- Contact the Auxiliary of your choice by email and be sure to
give your name and phone number so someone can contact you. Please advise a
convenient day and time in which you would like to be contacted.
- When you are contacted, you will be given information on the
benefits of membership, cost (you may choose to be an annual or life member)
and the many community programs the VFW participates in. Additional events
include picnics, baseball games, bus trips etc.
- A "face to face" meeting will follow. You will need to show
proof of eligibility (Your own DD214 or that of a relative as defined in the
next column) and complete a small amount of paperwork. Your name will be
submitted for membership approval at the next Auxiliary meeting. If accepted,
you are then a part of a great and proud organization.
